When the clean up was all done, we ended up having quite a few leftover items. If you lost something at the wedding, let us know and we probably have it. We can get it to you if you let us know. Thanks!

Hope you had as much fun as Darrell and I did! We are so happy that you were able to come out and enjoy the day with us. We are now at home and packing so we can make the big move to Texas. We found out that we have the apartment that we applied for. (If you want the address, let one of us know and we will email it to you.)

I have heard from a couple of people about the address for the woodlands so that people can print up Driving Directions. The Woodlands Address is:
39350 Little Lake Road, Mendocino, CA 95460.
But since you are looking for a drive time, I would look at drive time to Mendocino, and then add half an hour. The woodlands is 8 miles down Little Lake Road from Mendocino, but it takes between 20-30 mins. We have exact directions written down under the travel section on this Website. There will be signs as you get further along down Little Lake Road so people don’t get lost.

We visited the Woodlands last Sunday and took some more photos available here http://picasaweb.google.com/eukota/MendocinoWoodlandsReconaissanceMission#. Of interest are images of available kitchen utensils, images of the location we will be placing the bar, the location where the wedding cake will be placed, more photos of the kitchen area, and…… we even took the 1/2 mile hike to Boyle’s Swimming Hole and have posted some photos of that. Turned out to be quite a nice swimming hole (in my opinion).
Hey Everyone,
So we have everyone who has told us that they are coming and staying in a cabin. We have just over 100 people staying with us. We are excited! We have been getting questions about how/when to pay for the lodging. Here’s the lowdown: Darrell and I have already paid for all of the cabins, so when you arrive on Friday or Saturday, there will be signs and a notice of who to contact to pay. We haven’t decided on that yet, so just wait until you arrive. There are two types of payments allowed: Cash or Check. If you are going to pay for it by check, please make it out to either Darrell or I. I hope that this answers some questions from some of you.
We are still working hard on getting everything done. Darrell’s interview went great, so now he’s just on a deadline for his thesis. Busy busy busy bees we are! Can’t wait to see everyone in a month!

Hey Everyone!
We have been real busy here in McKinleyville. We have decided that the Google Groups page isn’t working quite like we want it to, so we check it, but you can just ignore the last couple of posts on here.
Our RSVP date was yesterday, and we haven’t heard back from about half of our invites, so we are waiting a couple of days until we start calling. We have talked to a couple of people and have heard that they haven’t recieved their invitations, so we are hoping that it is only a couple. We will start getting ahold of people about what Cabin they are in once we get the rest of the RSVP’s. If anyone has any requests on who they would like to bunk with and haven’t talked to us or written it on your RSVP, let us know so we can accomodate you.
We have been hard at work and have gotten quite a few things done. Things will be a little slower going in the next couple of weeks, but we will get them done.
Off of Wedding: Darrell has a job interview in Texas on Friday (4/24), so we are excited and wishing him luck! We have set our departure date from Humboldt County as June 15, so we are hoping he finds a job. Everything should work out fine.

Hey There Guests![EDIT - the Google Groups site really isn't working very well so we're going to drop it. The goal was to lighten our load but poor adoption by our guests and the site just not being very customizable has led us to drop the idea. We will return to cell phones and single e-mails since the bulk of guests seem to prefer that way. You can join the group if you want. There are some useful items on there like a map of cabins so you could request a specific cabin.] We created a Google Group to facilitate discussion and answer questions. Please follow the link and subscribe to the group.

The group will allow you to post questions, comments, and suggestions as we gear up for the wedding. It will also help if you post your travel itinerary so others can view it and we can all get a feel for who is arriving when and were.

We are back from vacation and setting to work. We have realized that we are getting many individual emails about the same question, so Darrell started up a google group so that we can answer a question and everyone can get the response to the question without us repeating the same thing to everyone attending. You can check it out here. If you are interested in helping in any specific area, post to the group and we can begin to get organized. It will help us greatly and we really appreciate it!

We have been receiving RSVP’s back already. I just wanted to let you know that we are going to be waiting until April before we begin to assign cabins as we are going out of town next week. So if you haven’t heard from us yet about your cabin registration, hold tight. We will be letting you know either by email or phone around the middle of April. Thanks for your patience.
