First Haircut

It was time. At almost 28 months in, Edward’s hair was beginning to look a little shaggy. Darrell needed a haircut, so we took them both in so Edward could watch Daddy and not be so worried about it. It went great! He was a little apprehensive, but loved it by the end. Probably helped that afterwards, Barber Don gave him 5 suckers (1 for each of the next 5 days, but Mommy didn’t keep up with that). He went in looking like a little toddler and came out looking like a little boy. I think he aged by 2 years just getting his haircut.

Swerve Robotics was a part of the Drive Electric Week program and they took some Drive-a-Bots down to Issaquah. Darrell and I decided to go ahead and take Edward on down there to see what’s up and to play around. It was a lot of fun and Edward loved playing with the robots.

First up: Stopping by the Drive-a-Bot tent.

Then, we wandered around seeing what else was around. There was a bright red tent that Darrell gravitated towards like a moth to a light. 🙂

After wandering around, we headed back to the Drive-a-Bot and Edward got some drive time in.

It was about lunchtime, so since we were already at a quaint diner, we decided to give it a shot. It was yummy, but wow was it a lot.

After lunch, we went back for some more driving:

And Edward even helped me take some photos: (I can’t share them since many of them were of the Swerve students and I don’t have permission to share)

Because Edward and Daddy can’t get enough of the bubbles, they play with them almost every day after Darrell finishes with work.

27 Months

27 months!! Oh boy is he a handful. We are totally within the terrible two’s with tantrums all over the place. We are starting to work on potty training, so we will see how it goes. Everything else with this little boy has been fabulous! We love him more and more everyday! He is already in 3T clothes and is in size 9.5 shoes.

Out and About

We keep pretty busy through a good portion of the month. We go on lots of walks, trips to the zoo, and plenty of other stuff. This month, we:

Headed out to the Brightwater Center for one of our weekly walks;

Went to the zoo for a fabulous day with some friends;

While at the zoo, we got to see plenty of animals out and about. We also got to see some Giraffes fighting;

And Edward got his first HUGE lollipop;

and at the end of the month, we attended the annual Birth Center Picnic. It was nice getting to see the midwives who helped us deliver Edward. They loved seeing how big he has grown;

Edward even got his first every “face” painting. We weren’t sure about putting it on our face, so she was lovely enough to just put it on his arm. He of course didn’t want to leave it alone since it was balloons, so it was worn off before very long. C’est la vie…
