We continued our annual tradition of picking raspberries at Schuh Farms. This year, we went early enough that it was still Strawberry season, so we went ahead and picked some of them as well. The boys loved it. Though the strawberry picking was a bit hard on our backs. I slugged through it with the boot though I was worn out by the end of the day.

June 2019

Some memories from our busy June.

We also went to Golden Gardens Park with a friend. The boys loved playing in the sand and changing the flow of water.

Edward had his birthday party at school and also his school picnic. He was sad his teachers retired, but ready to continue on.

May

We relaxed through most of May. Some days the weather was really nice and others, not so much. The nice days we made sure to get out and about and go places. We had a few playdates at parks, played in the pool and sprinklers, the cats hung out in the sun and Darrell and the boys spent lots of time in the garden. Darrell took the boys to a Minecraft Faire and the boys also started soccer. They are loving playing soccer and look forward to it every weekend.

We wandered around Bellevue and stopped by the Botanical Gardens for a quick evening walk. It was super beautiful and the boys loved running around.

We headed up to Mt. Vernon again for another year of the Tulip festival. The flowers were just as pretty as always. We went up when we first moved to Seattle and then hadn’t made it back up until I got pregnant with Morgan in 2016. We have gone every year since then though and it is a tradition we would like to keep while we are here. It is fun to run around and see all the flowers. I also get some great shots of the boys just in time for Edward’s birthday when I send out pictures to family.

We started our day by heading to Snow Goose Produce on the way to Roozengaarde. We stop by to grab some ice cream. We learned one year that if you go later in the day, the ice cream line is really long and the kids won’t stand still long enough. So we like to stop at the beginning of the day and let them get some sugar in them before we head to the fields so they can burn off their energy while we are there.

After we finished off our ginormous ice cream cones, we headed to Roozengaarde. They have an amazing little garden inside and then if you time the year right, they have massive fields just behind the garden. Sometimes, the field tulips are right near the garden and other times the tulips are a decent walk away from the garden. This year they were right next to the garden.
