After the Grand Coulee Dam tours, we headed down to Pullman to visit some friends. They were going bowling on Saturday, so we went and took Edward for his first time bowling. We had a blast and Edward was so cute with his hijinks when he rolled the ball down the lanes.

The bowling alley also had an arcade and after Edward finished his first game, he was not interested anymore and was more interested in the arcade. Then on the way home, we stopped at a fruit stand and picked up some boxes of fruits.

We also got to see a wonderful sunset on our way home. I know it was probably really due to the smoke from the fires, but still beautiful none the less.

Darrell got an opportunity to head out to Eastern Washington to take a tour of the Grand Coulee Dam. It was on a Friday and since it was so far away, we decided to all go as a family and then visit some friends up in the Okanogan. Unfortunately, the visiting friends in the Okanogan didn’t happen because of the Fires in Eastern Washington. But we went ahead and then headed down to Pullman to visit some band friends (see: Bowling). So here are the photos of our tours (Darrell got the special one and Edward and I took the public one) of the Grand Coulee Dam.

Last weekend, we headed on down to Pheasant Rock for the Werdeman Family Reunion and Uncle Kenny’s Retirement Party. It was so much fun to see all the faces I hadn’t seen in forever. The last family reunion I went to was in 2007 and then I also saw a bunch of folks at Grandad’s Memorial which was back in August 2009. Either way, that was almost 6 years ago. I had seen many faces in between at different weddings and family functions, but not everyone. There were so many of the kids there that we now have pictures of the next generation coming through.

That last picture was of Edward running trying to catch up to the older cousins. He was so excited to be able to follow them.

Also, since it was Kenny’s Retirement, everytime we would visit him up here, he always had dum dums and gave one to Edward. So we made him a dum dum tree. It took a little bit of time and almost 700 dum dums, but I think they turned out fabulous!

Vancouver

After the 4th of July, we headed north to Vancouver to celebrate Darrell’s Grandad’s Birthday. It was a last minute trip, but was super fun. We got to see a bunch of family we haven’t seen in quite a few years.

While we were in Vancouver, we headed down to Stanley Park and went to the Vancouver Aquarium. It was Edward’s first time at an Aquarium and he absolutely loved it! He was a little frazzled with us since we were trying to keep up with everyone else and only had a couple hours to do it, so we kept pushing him along. We didn’t even get to see everything. We have talked about taking him back there again when we have more time to do things.
