Happy 3rd Birthday to my Baby Boy who will forever and ever remain a baby! I am a little sad that it has been a full 3 years since we said hello and goodbye to him. After 3 years I am noticing that I am having a hard time remembering exactly what he looked like and all the little details of the day. I am so grateful for all of the photos that everyone took. Because of those, I am able to look back and still see him as we saw him instead of only in our memories. Plus, our doctor had a machine that allowed him to record the ultrasounds, so I am able to go and see a recording of the 20 week ultrasound. There is no sound, so I can’t hear his heartbeat, but just seeing him move brings me to tears.

It was a lot of work and we spent a chunk of time working on it, but it was definitely worth it.
Here are our beginning photos:
And then we have our working on them and finished beds photos:
After we finished getting the beds ready in April, we decided to try to plant by seeds and see how they would work:
After waiting a month, we started seeing green sprouts, but then the birds started eating the poor little seedlings. So in the end, we ended up just buying plants and replanting everything.
Since Darrell has been at school, he spends a lot of time on the University of Washington’s campus. Whether it is going to class, one of his many IEEE meetings or anything else school related. We have had a lot of really pretty days this month, so he has gotten some nice shots of campus with Mount Rainier in the background.
But just so that we don’t feel like we really want to be there and experience this beautiful sight on a weekly basis, this is what just a small portion of his homework looks like:
